We have just received this message from our Texas Data centre and our OpenVZ server node is affected by this maintenance.

Some clients in Cabinet 102 have been experiencing high level of interrupts on traffic during these last 2 days. We've been troubleshooting and came up with a solution for this.

There appears to be no packet loss on traffic routed through Cabinet's 102 switch, but it is experiencing a high level of interrupts from what appears to be ICMP traffic on the main VLAN. This is causing intermittent loss and slow responses for this hop. We believe this is related to some networks hosted in the same VLAN.

Moving some things around over to VLAN 2 should resolve this, but would take several steps and cause OSPF to bounce, leading to a brief downtime for ALL servers in this cabinet.

As I said, all servers in Cabinet 102 will be affected by this. The maintenance window is scheduled for February 25 at 7AM CST. We are not sure how long this maintenance window will take.

Thank you very much and we apologize for inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely,

QuickWeb Hosting Solutions Team
