Dear Affected Clients,
We will be migrating all VPS from Challenger node to a brand new node in Softlayer Texas on 22 March 2011 stating at 6PM New Zealand time, the i/o performance of challenger is deteriorating and we are planning a total rebuild of the box including replacement of some hardware parts like RAID card and new set of disk drives.
We will live migrate all VPS one by one so there should be no changes in your server's data but you will be issued a new IP address, we are also looking at rerouting some existing IP blocks so you can still reclaim the old IP if you need to after the migration.
If you have questions and recommendations for your setup please let us know by opening a Helpdesk Ticket. We recommend you keep a backup of all your data offsite or via VPS TimeMachine at all times, lastly we will keep you updated as the date nears with more options.
